BOX LOT BONANZA: Three HR Plates
9" diameter each. Each has damage as follows:
left: hairline from 10 o'clock in to center.
middle: hairline from just under 1 o'clock into center.
right: cracked and glued from 2 o'clock on right diagonally across to 8 o'clock on left.
These are, obviously, for display only, but as such, much too good to just throw away! Think of a hallway, a stairwell, a powder room that these could cheer up.
$75 the three, $20 shipping.

Pansy Plate
9" diameter. Miniscule blip at 9 o'clock was caused by an impurity in the glaze during original firing, and a pinhead of glaze missing at 5 o'clock for the same reason. Faint pitting throughout the surface, all witness to the age of this charming plate...ca. 1900. S:HB Quimper on the back.
$145, $10 shipping.

Costume/Botanical Plates
9-1/2" diameter. The wonderful mix of 19th-century patterns: Porquier Beau botanicals, de la Hubaudière costume figures. These were done by the Henriot factory in the early 20th century, when their signature was still HR. Gentleman on the left with a spray of wild roses has an unglazed bottom, and the glaze is quite thin at the outer rim. Gentleman on the right with tea rose is totally glazed, with just a few skips on the outer rim.
$145 each, $20 shipping.
$275 for the twosome, $25 shipping.

Art Populaire Plates
Treasures from the late 19th century, each approximately 9" diameter...and all in fine original condition! No signature on any of these, probably from the de la Hubaudière factory. Clearly prized possessions, as they show no signs of usage and may well have lived their long lives safely in the family vaisselier.
$20 shipping for any one plate,
$7 for each additional.

Early Faïence Plates
We have owned these pieces for almost 50 years and have never been able to trace their origins!
Left: 8-1/8" diameter, lovely soft colors, interesting little winged critter in the center. A few modest rim chips, entirely consistent with what we believe to be a venerable age!
Right: 8-1/4" diameter, it has a bit more rim wear, and that old "museum" type restoration: very well done with staples through the back, and a perfect surface on the front. Obviously, this was highly thought of in its time, which we believe to be early 19th century, and place, about which we can only speculate! (South of France is our first thought.)
$85 each, $150 the pair, shipping $20 per plate.

Luncheon Plate
8" diameter, a rare size. Pretty geometric pattern, the soft colors contrasting with the dark manganese lines, one of which is unfinished, as if the painter had laid down his brush and the plate was whisked off to be fired before he got back to it! Signed HR Quimper 16 on the back, too faint to photograph. In perfect, useful condition, just the right size for a sandwich or a plate of cookies.
$40, shipping $10.
