Merry Walk Antiques, the Quimper Specialist



Rare HB Quimper: From the de la Hubaudière production of the late 19th century, a marvelous group, custom-created for a family estate on the northern coast of Brittany, "Villa de Moulin Rouge". Please note that every plate has a glimpse, at least, of the moulin (the windmill)! The artist who created this series was also delightfully creative with the borders, and we find here designs rarely, if ever, seen on anything else. The total effect: each plate is like a small painting. Pleaes note also: each plate has had modest restoration and carries our restorer's three red dots; this was clearly a service much-loved and used in its day, and we have ensured that these pieces will now be preserved indefinitely.
